USPS announces new delivery schedule

No big change for Pike County

The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced last week its plans to end mail delivery on Saturdays. This five-day delivery schedule for mail sent to street addresses will be made active the week of  Aug. 5 of this year.

A formal announcement from the USPS details that “the Postal Service expects to generate cost savings of approximately $2 billion annually, once the plan is fully implemented.”
