NECAC promotes Clair
North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) President and Chief Executive Officer Don Patrick has announced the promotion of Dianna Clair of Bowling Green to the position of director for the agency’s Section 8 Housing Rent-Assistance Program.
“We congratulate Dianna on this promotion,” Patrick said. “Her experience with the Section 8 program will prove invaluable directing NECAC staff in helping clients find safe and affordable housing.”
She has served the last two years as the program’s assistant director.
Clair is a graduate of Bowling Green High School and has more than 30 years of experience in administration and customer service. She joined NECAC as a Pike County housing assistance counselor in August 2007 and was named assistant director of the Section 8 program in October 2010.
In her new duties, Clair will oversee a staff of 18 employees that administers the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 8 program, as well as the related Family Self-Sufficiency and Shelter Plus Care programs.
“My time at the agency continues to be a learning experience,” Clair said. “There is so much involved with the HUD Section 8 program and it is always changing. It is a very demanding, but worthwhile, program. Every day is an adventure. It is a wonderful feeling knowing my staff and I are able to assist so many of the area’s families. ”
NECAC has operated the Section 8 program for more than 35 years through contracts with HUD and the counties of Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, St. Charles, Shelby and Warren counties and the communities of Vandalia and Farber.
