PLTC welcomes Hanley as director

Mr. Martin P. Hanley has been hired as the new Pike Lincoln Technical Center (PLTC) Director.  Hanley comes with strong recommendations from those in the technical field and from community members in Pike, Lincoln, and St. Charles Counties.

Hanley has been an IT instructor at Lewis & Clark Career Center in St. Charles since 2005. During his time at the career center he has been an effective mentor at both the local and state level. Martin has served on hiring committees, district level policy committees, and as an acting administrator when necessary. During the 2011-2012 school year, he participated in the district’s Aspiring Administrators program.

Prior to working in the field of technical education, Martin worked extensively in the IT Industry. During this portion of his career, Martin worked in Savoy, Ill., Bowling Green, and O’Fallon.

Martin and his family reside in the Bowling Green area. He has been active in Boy Scouts of America at both the local and national level. Hanley is active in the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green.

Mark Harvey, Superintendent of the Pike County R-III School District, indicated he was very impressed with the pool of applicants. Martin will be an asset to the students in all sending school districts, the adult student body, and the faculty of PLTC.
