First Presbyterian Church hosts elation

Everyone is welcomed to join friends at the First Presybterian Church on March 20 at 6:30 a.m. for the Equinox Elation.  This will be a celebration to observe the illumination of the church sanctuary as the sun rises and projects its light through the stained glass windows.  This  will be a time of fellowship, reflection, and prayer.

The people of the Bowling Green Presbyterian Church have planned a unique event for the spring equinox.  They are excited to share the beauty and history of their church with anyone who has a curiosity for seeing a natural phenomenon.

Joe Seifkas, servant leader, involved the kids in the children’s sermon as he explained the relationship of the earth and sun when the equinox occurs.  He challenged the congregation with a theory that when the equinox occurs, a set of east/west windows in the sanctuary may permit one to witness a visual synchronicity. Chris Gamm verified that he has seen this when he was working in the church.  If it is not a cloudy day, come and see for yourself what happens when the sunlight streams through the window.
