Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette LaVerne Kehr, 84, of Louisiana will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Marshall Adams will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana. Mrs. Kehr passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis.
She was born Nov. 5, 1928 in St. Louis, the daughter of Englebert B. Bareiter and Edith Mae Morgan Bareiter.
She married Ernest James Schwepker Nov. 5, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1952.
To this union was born one daughter, Jamie Rushing and husband, Harold of Columbia, Ill. and one son, Ernest Schwepker and wife, Gloria of Williamsville who survive.
She married Robert E. Kehr Oct. 28, 1967 at Perryville and he preceded her in death May 23, 1994.
To this union was born one son, Mark Nelson of Louisiana; four daughters, Heidi Bryan and husband, Steve of St. Louis, Jeanette Pruitt and husband, Jim of Foristell, Jennifer Ahart and husband, Jim of Louisiana, and Mary Kirtlink and husband, Jim of Louisiana; 28 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Englebert P. Bareiter of Bellville, Ill. who survive.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Koch, Lorraine Menard and Vivian Gregorian; and one brother, Edward Bareiter.
She was a member of the Harvest Time Ministry in Bowling Green.
She loved her family, poetry, music and, most of all, she loved Jesus.
Honorary pallbearers are all grandchildren of Mrs. Kehr. Active pallbearers are Steve Bryan, Jim Pruitt, Jim Ahart, Jim Kirtlink, Brad Pruitt and Jamie Ahart.
