Bowling Green High School recently finalized their mandatory MSHSAA summer time dead period for the summer of 2013.

BGHS has set their dead period for August 3 through August 11.  One component of the summer time dead period by-law is that all Bowling Green R-1 athletic facilities will be shut down during this time.  This would include the baseball and softball complex, practice football field, weight room, and all basketball gyms.

Coaches will not be allowed to schedule open gyms, passing leagues, basketball shoot outs, contact days, etc.  The summer time dead period will be an excellent time for families to plan vacations or for student athletes to find time to relax.
