Saturday, March 16, more than 100 private landowners from Pike and Ralls counties attended an all-day woodland workshop. The pre-registered participants were individual property owners who owned 40 plus acres of woodlands on their land.
The woodland workshop was an all-day event, with several classroom sessions in the morning at the Bowling Green High School, emphasizing different aspects of forest, woodland, and wildlife conservation. In the afternoon, at Malinmor Hunt Club’s TREE FARM property, there were several “hands-on” presentations of actual woodland practices used to benefit landowners’ trees, wildlife, and their property value in general.
