YMCA recognizes volunteers and staff
The Twin Pike Family YMCA Board of Directors and staff held the Annual Membership Meeting on March 20 at the Y facility with over 60 people in attendance.
Out-going Board President, Jim Ross welcomed everyone to the event and explained that the Annual Meeting gave the Board of Directors, staff and members the opportunity to review the accomplishments of 2012 and recognize key staff and volunteers who contributed to the success of the past year.
Marsha Garrison, Executive Director of the Twin Pike Family YMCA, updated the attendees on the progress made during the past year with the fundraising efforts for the Phase III Aquatics Center, stating that there is approximately $200,000 left to raise to meet the Mabee challenge grant. Marsha emphasized the need for continued support of this project in order to make it a reality.
