Bowling Green R-1 School District will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program again this year.
This program is made possible by funding through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Bureau of Community Food and Nutrition Assistance.
Both breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to children 18 and under. The program will begin June 3 and continue through June 28. Meals will be served at Bowling Green Elementary and at Frankford Elementary.
Frankford Elementary School will be serving as an enrolled site. This means that only those students enrolled for summer school will be provided meals at no cost. Bowling Green Elementary is an open site. This allows not only summer school participants but also anyone 18 and under to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.
Meal times are as follows: June 8 through 28, Bowling Green Elementary, Breakfast served 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., Lunch served 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
We welcome pre schools, church groups, and others with children within the approved age group to visit and enjoy breakfast and/or lunch at no cost.
