Bobcats trample Tigers in tourney opener
For the Montgomery County Tournament opener, Bowling Green High School’s Bobcats varsity baseball team faced off against the Mark Twain Tigers. The match-up proved to be of little challenge for the Bobcats, as they came out 13-3 over Mark Twain.
Sophomores Alex Roy and Jake Niemeyer were the Bobcats’ top hitters, each connecting with the ball three times. Brian Moore, Darren Feldewerth, and Corey Brown followed close behind with two hits each. Niemeyer earned the most RBIs for the Friday night game, bringing in four. Brown earned three RBIs and Andrew Martinson claimed two.Moore and Goddard had the most quality at bats with four each. Feldwerth, Brown, and Martinson each got walked once.
