Bowling Green High School track proved again why they are one of the best teams in the area during last Tuesday’s EMO Conference Meet. The Bobcats and Lady Cats placed first overall, earning 195 and 210 points, respectively.
“This was our best overall meet of the year. I really thought our kids were focused on winning the team title,” said head track coach and athletic director Matt Chance. “We had several kids competing in multiple events and I felt that they performed at a high level.”
BGHS junior Kylie Conrow broke the long jump record, held by E. Grimmett from 1975, with a recorded length of 17 feet and four inches.
EMO coaches voted several BGHS track stars for most valuable performer titles: Most Valuable Distance Runner: Philip Lagemann; Most Valuable Jumper: Kylie Conrow; Most Valuable Jumper: Adam Holt; Most Valuable Hurdler: Emily Schuckenbrock.
