Seventh Graders explore career options – Job shadowing presents opportunities
Seventh grade students from Bowling Green Middle School could be seen all over town Friday as they participated in the school’s job shadowing activity. Shadowers did everything from butchering to hair dressing and mechanic work.
“Our retired middle school counselor Cindy Norton started this program several years ago to provide the students with an opportunity to make a connection to their studies and how they may be applied in a ‘real-life’ occupational setting,” began BGMS principal Kim Pafford. “Our hope is that a student will choose to shadow a position that they are truly interested in to get some first-hand knowledge and experience in that field.”
