Lady Cats third at sectionals

The Bowling Green High School track teams did not disappoint at Saturday’s Class 3 Sectional 2 competition. The meet was held at Mexico High School, with 29 men’s teams and 28 women’s teams involved.

The Bobcats placed 15th out of 29. The Lady Cats showed once again that they have what it takes to make it to the top, placing 3rd out of their 28 competing teams.

“Both team performed extremely well on Saturday,” said head track coach Matt Chance. “We had numerous personal bests and our kids performed at a very high level.”

BGHS will travel to Jefferson City Friday for state preliminary competitions; qualifying runners and jumpers will return Saturday for finals.
