Methodist Church to host June retreats

Do you believe in miracles or do you wonder if miracles can happen?

All women in the community are invited to attend a women’s retreat on Saturday, June 15, at the First United Methodist Church located at 8 North Broadway in Bowling Green.

The retreat will begin at 9 a.m. with coffee, tea, and sweet rolls beings served, and will conclude about 2 p.m.

The program’s theme is “We Believe In Miracles”.  The morning speaker is Adam Custin, nephew of Jane Powell.  He will give a talk on “Adam’s Miracles”.  The afternoon speaker is Mary Hudelson, District Lay Leader, who will speak on “The Miracles of the Rainbow Network in Rural Nicaragua”.

The retreat will also consist of special music and group discussions.

A free lunch will be provided.  Children are welcome to come with their mothers, and play quietly during the retreat.

Men in the community are invited to attend a men’s retreat also on Saturday, June 15, at the home of John Galloway near Curryville, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and concluding with a BBQ at noon.  The program will be a “Study on David” led by Mike Gillen, the church’s minister, Tom Owens, Walter Park, and Joe Henderson.
