On June 2 through 5 area youth participated in this year’s 4-H Junior Camp program. The theme for the camp was “Clue Into 4-H”. Campers ages 8 to 11 from Pike, Ralls, Marion, Shelby, Lewis and Clark counties took part in the camp at Camp Inlow near Philadelphia.
Counselors for the camp were: Alexa Fisher, Halie Meyer, Lance Dixon, Shaylen Martin, Reed Niemeyer and Teagan Teasley, Pike County; Brenna Brocksmith, Doug Bross, Marissa Todd, and Mikayla Todd, Marion County; Ashley Kleine and Ian Riney, Clark County; and Houston Bischel, Shelby County. While at camp, campers took part in Clue themed workshops presented by the counselors. Workshops included Board Game Bonanza, 4-H Trivia, crafts, character, foods, thinking outside the box, writing, finger print identification and bottle rockets. Campers learned social, cooperation and leadership skills through these workshops. The campers also enjoyed swimming and water games.
