St. Clement volunteers help New Jersey
Saturday, June 8 was a very early morning for 21 volunteers from St. Clement. The youth group, comprised of 14 youths and seven adult leaders, was eastbound, headed for the destruction from Superstorm Sandy in New Jersey.
Under the direction of Visitation Parish Catholic Church, the St. Clement Youth Group dedicated their time and efforts to those affected by the Oct. 29 hurricane in Manasquan and Point Pleasant, N.J. Volunteers from St. Clement spent more than a week, leaving June 8 and returning June 16, shedding blood, sweat, and tears for the people of the eastern seaboard.
