A Bowling Green man was recently sentenced in Pike County courts to a prison stint for harassment charges.

Jeffrey Glen Silvey, a 33-year-old Bowling Green resident, entered a guilty plea Monday to sending sexually provocative text messages to an underaged girl for more than a year.

The defendant is the subject of charges in another case, as well. Silvey has been accused of six counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual misconduct for allegedly partaking in sexual acts with a 10-year-old girl.

Silvey will be seen for a pre-trial conference for the second case on Sept. 16. The molestation/sexual misconduct case is currently slated for an Oct. 17 jury trial.
