Park Board holds 15th Street Park dedication

Members of Bowling Green’s city Park Board, Alliance, and Board of Aldermen gathered last Wednesday to officially dedicate the 15th Street Park. The ribbon cutting occurred shortly after noon.

Locals present for the dedication included Dr. Stephen Chismarich, Mark Bair, Ed Lawson, Wendie Lucas, Tom Flamm, and Jerry Elliott. Chismarich, president of the Park Board, presented a short and touching speech prior to the cutting of the ribbon.

The 15th Street park has been a project in the works for a little over a year, and was recently completed. The park, which is located on Bowling Green’s west side, boasts a playground, swing set, Abbi Lucas Pavillion, and several benches.
