All-star musicians perform in Clarksville
With doors thrown open to the beautiful weather, The Apple Shed in Clarksville proved to be the perfect venue for The Music All Stars performance on Sunday, June 30.
The Raintree Arts Council (RAC) hosted this afternoon musical showcase.
Over 135 guests enjoyed ensemble jazz, a little bit of country music charm, a variety of instrumental and vocal solo’s, great storytelling, and delicious hotdogs courtesy of Woods Smoked Meats.
Supporting the local arts, keyboardist Paul Smith joined with renowned musicians David Hungate, guitar, Jay Hungerford, bass, John Gillick, drums, Bob Havens, trombone, and Jerry Epperson, reeds. These acclaimed musicians with regional roots traveled from as far away as Nashville and Kansas City to entertain at the “shed”.
The audience also enjoyed performances from local musicians Debbie Ingram, Dave Cordes, Judi Bruce.
The next opportunity to be part of the ‘Art’s’ in Pike and Lincoln counties is Saturday, July 13 for Raintree Rocks the Shed starting at 6 p.m. The cost is $10, and food/drinks will be available.
