The Bowling Green R-1 Board of Education gathered for their regular meeting Monday night. The board heard presentations of the schools’ Alternative Programs, a Lease-Purchase update, Architecnics proposal, and technological updates from director George Beshears. Beshears provided valuable insight into the recent devastation of district computers.
Board president Joe Klott called the meeting to order just after 6:30 p.m., member Ryan Bailey was absent. The consent agenda was approved unanimously after a Roger Colbert motion and Linda Luebrecht second.
Superintendent Darin Powell indicated some concern during his financial summary, saying there is a “gray cloud on the horizon” and that the district may see some changes financially, but will have a better idea before the final budget.
