Work on weight room progresses, HVAC project on track – School board reviews budget

The Bowling Green R-I School District school board gathered for a regular monthly meeting Monday night and reviewed the budget for the upcoming school year.   • BG R-I in consideration for Monsanto grant

    The Monsanto Fund has announced the finalists for this year’s America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education grants. From January through March, farmers across the country nominated their local public school districts for the grants. Once nominated, these districts were eligible to submit completed grant applications in April.     The Bowling Green Kids in Motion group held a bake sale and window washing fundraiser at Crossroads General Store Thursday. At the end of their day, the group had raised nearly $300 for the Pull a Hammi foundation.     Bowling Green’s schools could see a substantial funding loss as a result of Governor Jay Nixon’s recent budget cuts topping $1 billion.
