Clopton mini cheerleading camp

The Clopton High School Cheerleaders, sponsored by Jennifer Barnes, held a mini cheerleading camp Thursday, Feb. 19. The camp was open to students Pre-K through sixth grade. There were a total of 27 mini cheerleaders. Following camp the mini cheerleaders performed during half-time of the Clopton Varsity Girls game that night.   • School board accepts lawn care bid, applauds elementary student

    Lawn care and the philosophical thoughts of a third grader were among topics discussed during Tuesday’s Bowling Green R-1 School District Board of Education meeting.   • Bowling Green R-1 contracts Opaa! for food service

    Cafeterias at Bowling Green R-1 schools will see some changes in the upcoming months since the school board’s choice to transition from traditional school food service to a food service contractor. The motion was made during the Board of Education’s regular meeting last Tuesday, Feb. 17 and passed with a 4-2 vote, with board members Roger Colbert and Allen Chandler voting in opposition.
