Congratulations to the Bowling Green High School Marching Band and Director Skylar Keyes, who received a “1” rating in their parade show performance and a “2” rating on field during Monroe City’s contest on Saturday, October 4.

  • Alumni Association hosts 30th annual banquet

    The Bowling Green High School Alumni Association hosted its 30th annual Alumni Banquet Saturday evening to a large crowd. This year’s honored classes included 1954, 1959, 1964, 1974, 1984, 1989, 1994, and 2004. The evening began at 6:30 p.m., with a social hour from 5 to 6 p.m. President Shane Betts called the event to ordered and was followed by a “hello and welcome” by current BGHS principal Brock Bailey.

  • Mitchell graduates from PSU

    Melody Mitchell, of Portland, Ore., graduated from Portland State University’s College of Urban and Public Affairs with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies with a major in Community Health Education in August of 2014. Melody and other August graduates participated earlier in the University’s June 15 graduation commencement exercises at the Moda Center in Portland.   • BGMS to present annual Veterans Day program

    The Bowling Green Middle School will present a program honoring all veterans on  Tuesday, Nov. 11. This program will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. and the community is invited to attend.   • BGMS receives $10k Monsanto grant

    Bowling Green  Middle School has received a $10,000 grant from America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.
