Pregnancy help center plans developing

Twenty area pro-lifers, volunteers of a steering committee, met Feb. 5 to take the first steps toward making a Pike County pregnancy help center a reality. A name was selected for the new center and an attorney was instructed to begin the paperwork for a 50lc3 status. Getting this status may take a few months.   • Share the Harvest deer helps feed hungry

    According to the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), nearly 4,000 deer hunters donated more than 212,300 pounds of venison from the 2014 Missouri deer harvest to the state’s Share the Harvest program. Share the Harvest is administered by the Conservation Federation of Missouri (CFM) and MDC to help feed hungry Missourians.   • BGMS to host recycling, disposal event

    The Bowling Green Middle School will once again be hosting an electronic and hazardous waste drop off/recycling event.
