BGMS to host recycling, disposal event

The Bowling Green Middle School will once again be hosting an electronic and hazardous waste drop off/recycling event. The event will be similar to what the school did last year, although it is planned to be set up at the shelter house next to the pool in order to use the larger parking lots for the drop off.   Event Details BG City Park April 11 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

    At their first meeting, held Friday, Dec. 5, Girl Talk boasted around 30 middle school participants. The group will meet each week.

  • PCHD signs WIC contract for 2015

    The Pike County Health Department has announced that a contract to continue to provide WIC services for federal fiscal year 2015 has been signed with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Under the terms of the contract, the Pike County Health Department will be able to serve 525 persons eligible for WIC every month.   • Thanksgiving meal hosted for Pike County Hospice patients, families

    A dedicated group of hospice volunteers threw together a Thanksgiving feast yet again this year for the agency’s home-bound hospice patients and patient’s families. This year marked the agency’s 15th year anniversary of this ongoing act of kindness. The volunteers prepared 21 meals all together and hand delivered each one to the doorstep of home-bound patients and their families.   • Excavation starts for YMCA pool
