Highland bests Bobcats – Fourth quarter seals the deal

  • Bobcats defeat Hannibal Pirates

    Bobcats Ryan Talkington (40), Cory Buchanan (25), Dakken Morris (32), and Tyess Chatman (3) watch the ball and move to rebound positions.

    Bowling Green fans learned that a Pirate is no match for a Bobcat last week as the BG boys faced off against the visiting Hannibal Thursday, Dec. 11. Hannibal never closed a quarter above the Bobcats, only leading with points scored in the third (by one point). A final score of 57-39 sealed the win for the ‘Cats. Seniors Adam Holt and Cory Buchanan could easily be considered the MVPs

    Despite a 24-point second half, the Lady Cats couldn’t quite pull off a victory over the visiting Quincy Notre Dame last week. By the time the clock ran out, Bowling Green was still three points short, leaving the final score at 39-36.
