Pike County Health offers free vaccinations

The Pike County Health Department will be offering multiple free vaccination clinics during the month of August during their walk-in hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays – 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. These opportunities are for children 11 years old through 18 and college students’ ages 19 through 26.   • US Bank supports Back 2 School Fair

  • Successful fair in the books as 2014 event ends

    Congratulations to the 2014 Little Mr. and Miss Pike County Fair - Tristan Flynn and Addison Potter. Tristan is the son of Kenda and Sean Flynn, of Bowling Green. Addison is the daughter of Candice Cunningham-Rutherford, of Middletown. Throughout the week, the Little Mr. and Miss held several responsibilities, including handing out trophies and making appearances at special events.

    Another successful Pike County Fair is in the books as this year’s event came to a close Saturday. The fair, which ran Tuesday through Saturday of last week, is comparable to years passed, said fair board president Vernon Korte. According to Korte, the grand total of revenue for the 2014 fair appears to be slightly down from last year. “2013 was an exceptional year,” Korte countered, explaining the slight decrease
