Blue Christmas service to be held

This year will be the Third Annual Blue Christmas Service to be held Dec. 18 at Bowling Green First Christian Church, 15 North High at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Dawn Marie Turner of First Christian Church and Pastor John Pinkston of First Methodist Church will be leading the service.   • PCHD hosts volunteer Christmas party

    The Pike County Health Department, Home Health and Hospice group hosted its annual volunteer Christmas party last week at Saints Avenue Cafe.

    The Pike County Health Department, Home Health and Hospice held its annual hospice volunteer Christmas party and dinner at Saints Avenue Café this past Tuesday. Approximately 35 volunteers and guests were in attendance. Volunteer Chip Traynor gave the blessing prior to the meal.   • Thanksgiving meal hosted for Pike County Hospice patients, families

    A dedicated group of hospice volunteers threw together a Thanksgiving feast yet again this year for the agency’s home-bound hospice patients and patient’s families. This year marked the agency’s 15th year anniversary of this ongoing act of kindness. The volunteers prepared 21 meals all together and hand delivered each one to the doorstep of home-bound patients and their families.
