Afternoon tea to be held at Second Baptist

The ladies of Second Baptist Church would like to invite everyone to a tea on Oct. 25,  at the Second Baptist Church in the Educational Building.   • Vietnam memorial to be hosted by DAR

    A 50th anniversary Vietnam commemorative service will be held at the Veterans Wall at the Courthouse Square at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23. The event is sponsored by the Bowling Green DAR and the public is invited to attend. After the program the regular DAR meeting will commence at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church. The public is also invited to the October meeting.

  • Nazarene Church to host Revival Oct. 26-29, Rev. Whitworth to lead

    Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene will be holding a Revival with Rev. Marcus Whitworth, Sr. on Oct. 26 through 29. Sunday services at  10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and, Monday through Wednesday, at 7 p.m. Rev.   • Alumni Association hosts 30th annual banquet

    The Bowling Green High School Alumni Association hosted its 30th annual Alumni Banquet Saturday evening to a large crowd. This year’s honored classes included 1954, 1959, 1964, 1974, 1984, 1989, 1994, and 2004. The evening began at 6:30 p.m., with a social hour from 5 to 6 p.m. President Shane Betts called the event to ordered and was followed by a “hello and welcome” by current BGHS principal Brock Bailey.

  • White Rose celebrates 128 years

    White Rose Baptist Church will be celebrating its 128th church anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker for the afternoon service will be Rev.
