Mayor makes first Poppy Day donation

Mayor Don Hunter made the first donation to this year’s Buddy Poppy fundraiser. The special day, which will be hosted by the Bowling Green VFW Post 5553, will take place next Friday, Nov. 7. The $5 donation was accepted by Poppy Day Chairman Bob Page.

  • Secret Service to host fraud seminar

    The secret Service and the BG Police will be hosting a fraud, counterfeit and bad check scam seminar Monday, Nov. 10 at 6:30. It will be held at the BG High School Auditorium and there is no charge to attend. The seminar will be conducted by Asst.
