  • Traffic flow changes coming for Bowling Green Elementary

    Anyone that has been on the BG R-I campus at the end of a school day, would surely have noticed the congestion of cars coming and leaving the school. The Bowling Green Elementary administration and faculty have voiced concern with heavy congestion for parents and families picking up elementary students. In many cases, that congestion is caused by high school students leaving campus at the end of the school day.

  • Local missionaries return from emotional visit to Haiti

    Last week, the missionaries from Bowling Green’s Second Baptist Church returned from their week-long trip to Haiti. Through the Compassion Child network, which supplies impoverished children  with schooling, uniforms, and at least one meal a day, the group was able to go to a Haitian compound to work with other missionaries and local volunteers.   • Ralls SWCD announces state cost share sign up

    The Ralls County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will start State Cost Share Sign-up Nov. 1, through Nov. 30. The District is initiating sign-ups due to the limited amount of Cost Share funds and the high demand for assistance.
