  • New weight room approved – Coaches, athletes rejoice

    The current BGHS football locker room does not lend itself well to serving as a weight room. With several smaller rooms within, instructors are unable to observe the entire class at one time.

    The Board of Education came to a decision Monday night that will delight district teachers, coaches, and students alike. The long awaited weight room project was fully approved during the Board’s meeting Monday, March 17. A masonry bid from Martin General Contractors was unanimously approved and will cover the entire construction project. This news would not be as exciting if it was not needed so desperately.     Leala McClurg, Bowling Green Times office manager, says she probably would not be alive today if not for the quick action of medical professionals and the lifesaving blood donations from strangers she’ll likely never meet.
