McPike selected for baseball honor

Kobe McPike, a BGHS freshman, was selected by the Mathews-Dickey Boys’ and Girls’ Club to represent STL Cardinals in the 2014 Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series, Aug. 6 through 12. McPike’s first step was to go to Milwaukee, Wis. to play in the Mid-West Central Regional Tournament, July 25 through 28, hosted by the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.   • Volleyball falls at Winfield

    The Lady Cats volleyball team kicked off their season Monday night at Winfield. Unfortunately, the varsity girls fell to their host in two sets.
