Bobcats take down Van-Far 55-41

A home-court advantage, energized crowd, and Courtwarming high all may have played into another Bobcat win Friday night against the visiting Van-Far.     Bowling Green High School held its annual Courtwarming celebration between the boys and girls basketball games versus Van-Far Friday night. During the coronation, seniors Cory Buchanan and Michaela Knight were crowned Courtwarming King and Queen. Other attendants were Freshmen: Noah Pafford and Mallory Felderwerth; Sophomores: Tyess Chatman and Chloe Calhoun; Juniors: Myles Smith and Gracey Lewis; Seniors: Madeline Kinkade, Adam Holt, Josh Kempke, and Harli Lindsay.

    The annual Bowling Green Invitational basketball tournament has reached another milestone. Next week’s event marks the 90th annual tournament to grace the courts of Bowling Green High School. As one of BGHS’s highlight annual events, the tournament draws a huge crowd from all over and is regarded for its display of athletic talent. “The Bowling Green Tournament has historically been a showcase for local basketball,” said BGHS Principal Brock Bailey.

  • 30-point lead means win for Bobcats

    The Bobcats were on top of their game for their first contest since returning from winter break. An incredible 30-point lead propelled the Bobcats to a victory over Montgomery County Monday night in Bowling Green. After leading through the entire contest, the ‘Cats ended it with a 76-46 win. Bobcats Cory Buchanan and Tyess Chatman were aces Monday, with Buchanan leading at 19 points and Chatman right behind with 18.
