    New lights at the Bowling Green High School football stadium and track were recently installed. The project, completed last week, is one of many improvements coming to BGHS this year. The weight room project is expected to be finished this month.

  • Bobcats selected for All-Star baseball game

    Two recently-graduated Bobcat baseball players were honorably selected to play in the second annual Missouri vs. Illinois All-Star Baseball Game. Event organizers Kevin and Aaron Peters recently announced the rosters for the 2014 Missouri vs. Illinois All-Star Baseball Game, sponsored by Benson Financial Group, Shottenkirk Toyota, and Refreshment Services Pepsi.   • Larson sets records, named All-Conference

    Rebecca Larson, a second-year student at St. Louis College of Pharmacy from Bowling Green, claimed two all-conference medals for the St. Louis College of Pharmacy women’s track and field team. At the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) track and field championships on April 26 in Berea, Ky., Larson led the Eutectics by scoring 20 points in the throwing events.   • Holt, Conrow at state track meet – Conrow named All-State

    Two Bowling Green High School track athletes, Adam Holt and Kylie Conrow, qualified for the Class 3 State Track Meet, held Saturday, May 31 in Jefferson City. Adam Holt, a BGHS junior, qualified in the boys long jump. With a distance of 20’5”, Holt placed tenth in his event. “Adam had a tremendous season and participating at state was a great experience for him,” said head track coach Matt Chance.

  • Falcons celebrate semi-pro championship

    The Hannibal Falcons semi-pro football team claimed the 2014 8Fl semi-professional championship title. The Faclons played the championship game against The St. Louis Stars on Sunday, May 18 in Hannibal. Hannibal earned the title 32-12, bringing a close to their 10-0 season.
