    Bobcats Ryan Talkington (40), Cory Buchanan (25), Dakken Morris (32), and Tyess Chatman (3) watch the ball and move to rebound positions.

    Bowling Green fans learned that a Pirate is no match for a Bobcat last week as the BG boys faced off against the visiting Hannibal Thursday, Dec. 11. Hannibal never closed a quarter above the Bobcats, only leading with points scored in the third (by one point). A final score of 57-39 sealed the win for the ‘Cats. Seniors Adam Holt and Cory Buchanan could easily be considered the MVPs

  • Lady Cats fall to QND despite impressive second half

    Despite a 24-point second half, the Lady Cats couldn’t quite pull off a victory over the visiting Quincy Notre Dame last week. By the time the clock ran out, Bowling Green was still three points short, leaving the final score at 39-36.   • ‘Cats named All-State

    The MFCA (Missouri Football Coaches Association) voted on all state athletes over the weekend. Bowling Green had two selections: Jackson Ringhausen – Third Team Linebacker Logan Charlton – Third Team Offensive Lineman. Congratulations, Bobcats! The honor is well-deserved.

    The Bobcats had a good week during the annual Montgomery County tournament, which began last Monday. Bowling Green faced and defeated Wellsville-Middletown and then Hermann, securing their spot in the tournament championship game.   Bobcats vs. W-M Bobcat supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball team bounce the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers, 77-52 to kick off their run in the invitational tournament.     Saturday’s Montgomery County tournament championship game between the Bobcats and Fulton Hornets was not one to miss. The contest, which fell into overtime at a tied score of 68-68, came to a close with the Bobcats at a deficit and final score of 80-76.
