Bobcats fall to Palmyra in district championship

Bowling Green’s Bobcats football team claimed the district’s second place title for two years in a row after falling to Palmyra in the district championship game Friday. Palmyra, who defeated the ‘Cats last year as well, took the crown with a final score of 30-6. The Bobcats’ only touchdown came from a three yard run by quarterback Jake Niemeyer in the first quarter.   • Lady Cats bring home fourth place – First state trophy in girls XC history

    Bowling Green’s Lady Cats cross country team brought home the first state trophy in the team’s history following Saturday’s meet in Jefferson City.     Evan Killian bagged this 12-pointer Sunday afternoon in Frankford. Killian says he saw some turkeys, and not long after that, this big guy came along, scraping the ground. Evan is the son of Scott and Heather Killian. This is his second year hunting.
