Larson receives scholar-athlete awards

St. Louis College of Pharmacy (STLCOP) student-athlete Rebecca Larson, of Bowling Green, received of the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award. To be eligible for nomination, an outstanding varsity athlete must maintain a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average as a junior or above.   • Bobcats obliterate Whitfield

    The Bowling Green Bobcats jumped out to an early lead over Whitfield and captured an impressive 13-2 run-away victory last Tuesday. With seven runs in the first three innings, Bowling Green left no doubt about the eventual outcome of the contest.     Bowling Green’s Bobcats and Clopton each put runners in scoring position Tuesday, but BG was able to follow through on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win.     A wild pitch scoring Trey Nichols finally gave Bowling Green the lead in the sixth inning, allowing the Bobcats to beat Hannibal 3-2 last Monday.
