The six members of Bowling Green’s Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to confirm the appointments of 13 local residents to various civic boards, including parks and recreation, library, planning and zoning, and board of adjustments.
Appointed to the city’s park board were the following individuals: Lauren West, 1-year term; De Butler, 2-year term; Shellie Ligon, 2-year term; Brandy Nelson, 2-year term; Allen Chandler, 3-year term; Karen St. Clair, 3-year term; Erica Mitalovich, 3-year term; and Anita Orf, 3-year term.
Appointed to the city’s library board were Toni
Brake and Joyce Edwards. Both Brake and Edwards will serve a 3-year term.
Named to the city’s planning and zoning board were Douglas “Doug” McPeak and George Huber. Both McPeak and Huber will serve 3-year terms.
The final appointment approved by the city’s board of aldermen was the appointment of Charlie Wright to the city’s Board of Adjustment. Wright will serve a five-year term.
