The sixth annual Pike Community Care Partnership “Back 2 School Fair” will be held this Saturday at the fairgrounds.
Pike County students are invited to the event for free gifts and necessary information before the start of the school year.
This year’s back to school fair will begin at the Pike County Fairgrounds this Saturday at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 12 p.m.
Last year, an estimated 1,000 people attended the fair hosted by the Pike County Care Partnership. More than 615 children from 10 Pike County schools registered at the event.
In addition to receiving backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies, there will also be nearly two dozen booths with resource information on hand for the participants to visit. Each of these booths will also be handing out additional school supplies.
Once again, event sponsors will have stylists on-site to give free, professional haircuts. Approximately 125 haircuts are given each year.
