Customers of Bowling Green’s Best Buy Pharmacy may notice a few changes in the near future as the long-standing business is transfered to new owners.
Pharmacist Bob Martin explained early this week that the change in ownership will be finalized on May 12, and that the business will reopen later that week as County Market Pharmacy.
To the satisfaction, there will be no changes in hours, services, or employees, things that customers have come to “know and expect” of Best Buy, as Martin explained.
Best Buy, owned by James Cox of Louisiana, has been open for more than 35 years.
A representative from Niemann Foods, the corporation which owns County Market, says the only glaring change will be possibly decreasing prices, as the grocery store’s pharmacies generally offer discounted generics.
Martin added that no immediate changes in the appearance of the pharmacy will take place, although there have been talks of possibly updating the business to “spruce things up.”
