Bowling Green Middle School’s fifth grade classes celebrated their graduations from the D.A.R.E. program, led by Pike County Sheriff’s Department Detective Kenda Flynn, Friday afternoon. Students from each class participated in an inspiring skit, were presented awards for essays, and chosen for Outstanding Student awards.
The D.A.R.E. kids helped a group from the Bowling Green Second Baptist Church raise over $300 for their trip to Haiti, where they will work in an orphanage.
“This was part of our D.A.R.E. dance fundraiser,” explained Flynn.
