A single run sealed the fate of the Bowling Green Bobcats, even after they built an early lead last Monday, as Hannibal roared back to steal a 2-1 victory.
Senior Corey Brown handled Hannibal’s lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Brown allowed no earned runs on Hannibal’s three hits, but threw three walks over six innings. The pitcher threw 13 first-pitch strikes and six strikeouts.
Bowling Green scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Darren Feldewerth in the first inning.
Hannibal never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring two runs on a two-run single.
The Bobcats handled themselves well at the plate, with Feldewerth and David Goddard both earning three QABs, a stat unmatched by their opponent.
