The Bowling Green High School Bobcats football team fell 42-0 to Clark County last Wednesday night in their second game of districts.
“We came out kind of flat, and that cannot happen against a good team like Clark Co. Our defense had a tough time stopping their rushing attack. They were able to handle us pretty well up front and it made it hard for us to get to them in the backfield and in order to stop Clark Co. you must get to them before they get going. Unfortunately that didn’t happen,” said head football coach Jeff Gschwender.
“Our offense was able to put a few drives together running option, but we just couldn’t get it in the endzone. I was proud of the way the boys handled themselves on a tough loss. I feel that they are ready to get back in the weight room and get stronger. After playing a big, strong team like Clark Co., we all realize that our number one goal in the offseason is to get stronger,” he continued.
The Bobcats closed the 2012 season with a 4-7 record.
