The Bowling Green Bobcats were the victors of Friday night’s battle against Clopton, 52-42.
The Bobcats rode on the shoulders of Adam Holt’s offensive strength for much of the game. The junior scored an impressive 21 points.
Holt made 64 percent (9-for-14) of his shots attempted and hit 50 percent of his attempted free throws. He grabbed eight total rebounds, and made one block and three steals.
Cory Buchanan was next on the leader board, hitting two three-pointers and scoring 12 points total. The junior was the rebound leader, snagging nine total. He also made one block.
Senior Corey Brown wasn’t far behind, putting up 11 points for the Bobcats. Brown got four total rebounds and made one steal.
Also contributing were Josh Early, with four points, five rebounds, and one block and Andrew Martinson, with two points, four rebounds, and one steal.
The Bowling Green Bobcats finished the game with 36 total rebounds, four blocks, and six steals. The ten-point victory put the team in an excellent mind set as they prepared to take on Elsberry Saturday night in the final round of the Bowling Green tournament.
