The Bobcats pulled out a landslide victory over Highway 54 rivals the Louisiana Bulldogs Friday night. After a 50-0 score at halftime, the younger JV players even got some field time. With a final score fo 64-14, the Mayor’s Cup will maintain its Bowling Greena address.
“We were fortunate enough to have some things go our way early, and our defense played fast and pursued to the ball very well allowing us to get a win,” said head coach Jeff Gschwender.

“We felt that the boys executed the game plan very well. We wanted our defense to get the ball in our offense’s hands as quickly as possible, and our offense to score as quickly as possible,” Gschwender said. “We assumed that their offensive game plan was going to be to hang on to the ball as long as possible. We wanted to counter that by coming out fast and jumping on them early to force them out of their game plan and make them play catch-up.”

“The team got back in the film room early Saturday morning and we picked apart all of the mistakes that need fixed,” said the coach. “All of the players and coaches are fully aware of the things the need to be fixed and are ready to put in another week of work as we begin preparing for our first conference game at North Callaway.”
The Bobcats will face off against North Callaway this Friday in Auxvasse.
