The Bobcats jumped out to an early lead on Van-Far and captured a whopping 16-5 victory over the visiting Indians on Tuesday, April 8.
The fate of the game seemed to be decided quickly as Bowling Green claimed an early lead, with 11 runs in the first three innings alone.
Coaches say a sacrifice fly by Alex Roy, an RBI single by Darren Feldewerth, an error, and a two-run double by Austin Noble in the first inning, paired with a passed ball, a wild pitch, an RBI triple by Feldewerth, and an RBI single by Austin Quarles during the second inning definitely helped Bowling Green put some runs on the board early on.
Senior Corey Brown went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Bobcats. Brown singled in the first and second innings and tripled in the third inning.
David Goddard recorded the win for Bowling Green, even after allowing five runs over five innings. The BGHS senior struck out four, gave up zero walks, and surrendered only four hits.
Bowling Green pounded Van-Far in pitching, as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 12 RBIs, and 14 runs scored.
