Bowling Green Elementary students lead blanket drive

Posted on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:10 am

Recently, three Bowling Green Elementary School students organized a blanket drive to benefit the Options for Women facility and The Refuge Church. The students say they were led to organize the blanket drive after Bowling Green residents experienced record low temperatures this winter.
After the weeklong blanket drive, the students collected more than 100 gently used or new blankets.
The blankets were recently distributed to The Refuge Church in Tarrant’s Village and to the Options for Women facility. In the photo above, the organizers are pictured presenting their donations to the staff and volunteers of the Options for Women. Pictured above, are front row, from left: Olivia Dawson, Alli Hustedde, and Avery Eskew; second row, Options for Women Executive Director Paul Brunner, Eleanore Warner, and Paulette Bruch.
