Bowling Green Presbyterian Church to recognize area educators with tea, program

The members of the Bowling Green First Presbyterian Church are inviting current and former educators to attend a recognition tea in their honor on Saturday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m.
The featured speaker will be BGHS graduate Dr. Beth Whitaker.
Dr. Whitaker is a professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she teaches in the Educational Leadership. She was recently chosen to receive the Missouri College of Education Golden Apple for Teaching Excellence.
Karen Leverenz will be catering the tea. Guests will receive a small gift of appreciation for the hard work and dedication they give to teach the future leaders of our community. Area educators are encouraged to call the church at 573-324-2477 to reserve a seat.
On Sunday, April 29 former school administrator Brad Kurz and lay speaker of the Arch United Methodist Church in Hannibal, will lead a special worship service honoring area educators at First Presbyterian. Services begin at 10:45.
