Calvin receives Bronze Award

Halee Calvin

Halee Calvin, daughter of Rich and Genia Calvin of Frankford, was recently awarded the Junior Girl Scout Bronze Award.

Requirements for the award included earning several badges and participating in numerous activities.

Badges included Lead On, Humans and Habitats, Dancing, My Community and Girl Scouting in the USA.

Halee’s community service projects included working with the Christian Women’s Fellowship at their annual Flea Market and working with the New London Community Betterment on Main Street Windows.

In addition to the badges and community service, she earned the Junior Leadership Awards.

Halee is a member of Girl Scout Troop #9359 and attends Frankford Elementary.

Girl Scouts from Troop #9359 held an awards program at the Bowling Green Community Park on Aug. 19.

The Brownies received badges and the Journey award for the Brownie Quest. Badges earned were Computer Expert, My Best Self, Dancer, Home Scientist, Celebrating Com-munity, Snacks, Girl Scout Ways and My Family Story.

Members of the Brownie Troop are Lexi Robb, Molly Grote, Tiana Lewis, Isabelle Williamson, and Natalie Frazer.

The Juniors received badges and the Journey award from the Junior Amuse Journey.  Badges earned were Playing the Past, Simple Meals, Girl Scout Ways, Inside Government, Product Designer, Geocashing, and Animal Habitats. Members of the Junior Troop are Abby Robb, Halee Calvin, Hannah Flowers, and Becca Lawrence.

All of the girls in Troop #9359 are students at Frankford Elementary.
