Area country and bluegrass music fans may have to wait a bit longer to get their concert fix.
The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce president Chad Perkins announced last week that their long-awaited concert, featuring Gene Watson and Rhonda Vincent, has been postponed due to inclement weather in Texas, where Watson resides.
Poor flying conditions, including an unusual blanket of snow, in the Lonestar state stranded the singer in Dallas before he was able to fly out.
The concert, hosted by the Chamber and Turnbull family, of Curryville, was to be in the Bowling Green High School auditorium last Friday night, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.
Perkins noted that they have discussed rescheduling with Watson and Vincent. The current plan is to have a make-up concert in the spring, although a date is unknown.
Tickets that have already been purchased will be honored. Refunds are available.
