Last month it was announced that Bowling Green High School’s Athletic Director Matt Chance had placed second in the U.S. Cellular-sponsored Most Valuable Coach contest. On Monday, students and faculty within the Bowling Green R-I School District paused to honor Chance at a district-wide pep rally.
As a finalist, the local school district received $20,000 from U.S. Cellular that district officials say will be used to improve technology.
Chance is pictured delivering his brief remarks at the pep rally. See more pictures on Page 3 of this week’s edition.
Chance has been with the district for more than 20 years, working as an athletic director, head cross country coach, head track and field coach.
