Vocal Music Concert Scheduled
Bowling Green Middle School and Bowling Green High School choirs will host the vocal music program’s annual Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 9 in the school auditorium. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets to the concert are $2 for adults and $1 for students. Pre-schoolers are admitted free.
Red Cross Bloodmobile to be at Frankford Community Center
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will return to Pike County later this month when the Frankford Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church’s Crusaders Sunday School Class hosts a blood drive on May 14. This blood drive will be hosted at the Frankford Community Center, beginning at 3 p.m. and continuing until 7 p.m.
Soup and sandwiches will be provided to donors.
Safe Sitter Courses Scheduled At Local Health Department
The Pike County Health Department is offering a one-day training program for local teenagers who want to be feel more comfortable and confident in their work as babysitters.
The course is offered on May 30, June 13 and June 22. The course begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. All sessions of the Safe Sitter class will be held at the Pike County Health Department, located at No. 1 Healthcare Place in Bowling Green.
The Safe Sitter program is designed for teenagers in sixth through eighth grade.
The class has a $35 registration fee. Scholarships are available to those who qualify. Individuals enrolled in the program should prepare a sack lunch.
