It has been a long summer for those Pike County residents who use Hwy. 54 to travel between Bowling Green and Louisiana every day. Hwy. 54 between the two towns has been inaccessible since mid-June, and MoDOT crews have been working at a fever pace to replace the two bridges over Noix Creek.
