Candidates for Missouri county office seats who want to compete in the August primaries could begin filing for their hopeful positions Tuesday.
In Pike County, the offices of clerk, presiding commissioner, treasurer, collector, recorder, prosecuting attorney, and associate circuit judge are all up for election this year.
The offices have different candidate requirements; people who are interested in the positions should check with the county clerk’s office on guidelines.
The filing period ends March 25. The primary election will be Aug. 5, with the general election following on Nov. 4.
