Several generations were in attendance, predominately the
grandchildren of the late Days, who were formerly of Clarksville. All the families of the Day children, the late
Harold Day of Hannibal, the late Helen Colbert Laird of Clarksville, Mary Frances Zumwalt of Houston, and in
attendance, Opal McDonald of Bowling Green, were represented. Great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also came and enjoyed the potluck picnic.
Reunions are wonderful. Seeing, being, and reminiscing with
the relatives make us so proud to be members of this family. We
hope that Grandma and Grandpa Day would be proud that we still
celebrate the union of this fantastic and wonderful couple.
A donation was made in Mr. & Mrs. Day’s name to the
Clarksville American Legion Pots #349.
