The former Bowling Green resident accused of sexually assaulting his one-time girlfriend’s 11-year-old child was briefly back in a Pike County Courtroom last month.

The man, Jonathan N. Millikan, appeared alongside his attorney, Grant William Wobig. Wobig is an attorney with the 45th Circuit Court’s Public Defenders Office. The 45th Circuit Court includes both Pike and Lincoln County.

In the hearing, Wobig informed the court that he would need additional time to take depositions from key witnesses in the case in order to prepare for a possible trial.

Judge Patrick S. Flynn granted the additional time and Millikan is now scheduled to return to the county courthouse at 9 a.m. on February 25 for a hearing. It is expected that at the hearing later this month, Judge Flynn will rule on whether or not Millikan’s bond of $50,000 cash only bond should be reduced.

According to a previous Times article, Millikan was arrested in late July after deputies with the United States Marshals raided a home in Elkland, Mo., which is located near Buffalo, Mo. in Southwest Missouri.

Millikan had reportedly fled there after authorities began looking for him in Bowling Green.
