The Eagle Ridge Landfill near Bowling Green is looking to expand to meet the region’s growing solid waste needs and boost the economy.
The facility on Hwy. VV is now operating on 56 acres but has petitioned the state to use up to 229 acres at the site for refuse disposal.
A state meeting to discuss the proposed expansion will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Bowling Green Elementary School multi-purpose room.
